On Wednesday, May 16th at about 11:30 p.m., suspect Kristen Renee Schmitt, 30, turned herself in by coming to the Bullhead City Police Department lobby. She was interviewed by detectives and arrested for aggravated assault. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
The other suspect, James Marlowe, is still outstanding.
The Bullhead City Police Department is actively investigating an aggravated assault/ shooting where two suspects are still outstanding.
On Saturday, May 12th at approximately 7:45 p.m., police were called to a weapons offense where two armed suspects fired shots at a vehicle in the area of Lakeside Drive and Baseline Road.
Kristen Renee Schmitt, 30, of Golden Valley and James Francis Marlowe, 44, of Bullhead City were aggressively driving a blue Cadillac CTS and chasing a male and female who were in another vehicle throughout areas of Bullhead City. After firing shots at the victim’s vehicle, Schmitt reportedly smashed the victim’s window with a club and continued to strike the vehicle, hitting the male driver’s arm.
The victims were able to drive to safety to the Bullhead City Police Station. The victims were not seriously injured. The female victim reported that she used to be friends with Schmitt.
Schmitt and Marlowe have temporary felony warrants for their arrest for aggravated assault with a weapon. If anyone knows of their whereabouts, please contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-1999. Do no approach; they are considered to be armed and dangerous.
