Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary James Carter, 26, of Mohave Valley, late Tuesday (10/3) morning for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, along with disorderly conduct per domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and a failure to pay fines undesignated warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court. Approximately 11:05 a.m., deputies responded to Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave in reference to a domestic violence report. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 63-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her son Carter, who lives with her and her husband, started yelling at her while he threatened her. The victim further reported that Carter grabbed her with both hands and shook her head rapidly. The victim advised that she got a terrible headache. A records check showed Carter to have an active warrant. Deputies responded to a residence in the 8300 block of Aquarius Drive and contacted Carter. Carter said that he became upset with his mom. Carter further said that he only put his hands on the outside of her head and he did not touch her. Carter was taken into custody without incident. A search of Carter revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance. During conversations with Carter, he said the substance is methamphetamine. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
