Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Suarez, 36, of Topock, Tuesday (10/3) afternoon for burglary, a felony, and a post-adjudication undesignated warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court.
Monday (10/2) afternoon, at about 12:12 p.m., deputies responded to a burglary report at a residence in the 4800 block of Tonopah Drive. A 48-year-old male victim reported that someone stole a small air conditioning unit, a singer sewing machine, a camera, a coffee table and blue dining room chairs from his house. The victim further reported finding his chairs on the property behind his residence. Deputies responded to the house behind the victim’s residence in the 4900 block of Monarch Drive. Deputies left a business card at the residence as no one was home. On Tuesday (10/3) deputies received a call from Jeffrey Suarez who resides at the residence in the 4900 block of Monarch Drive. At about 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to Suarez’s residence and learned that Suarez left because he has a warrant. A records check showed Suarez to have an active warrant. A short time later, deputies contacted Suarez at a residence in the 12900 block of Supai Drive where he was taken into custody without incident. During conversations with Suarez, he admitted to going into the house behind his residence and taking a few things. Further conversations with Suarez, he said that the house belonged to someone who died a few years ago. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
