On Thursday, November 16th at around 1 a.m., Bullhead City Firefighters responded to the 2700 block of Sidewheel Drive for a garage fire. Fire investigators determined the fire was suspicious and contacted the Police Department. The homeowner provided officers with video surveillance that showed a female starting the fire.
The victim reported that Prudham had been at her residence for a small party with friends on Wednesday evening. The victim said when Prudham left her house, she went outside to say goodbye and Prudham started an argument. According to the victim, Prudham accused her of talking badly about her. Prudham then got into her vehicle and struck the victim with the driver’s side door as she was reversing at a high rate of speed. She also hit a vehicle that was parked at the residence.
The investigation revealed that shortly after Prudham left, she returned to her friend’s house and intentionally lit the garage on fire while the homeowner and another person were inside. It was also discovered that Prudham threw away the lighter fluid container in the trash dumpster, knowing the trash company would empty the bins that same day.
Brenda Prudham was arrested for aggravated criminal damage, aggravated assault, destroying evidence and arson of an occupied structure. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
