The man wanted for attempted murder against his girlfriend was arrested, Friday, after he broke into the victim’s new apartment.
Police have been searching for John Jesus Rodriguez, 29, since May 16th after he strangled his girlfriend to the point of almost losing consciousness and told her he was going to kill her.
On Friday, July 6th at about 4:45 a.m., the victim (Rodriguez’s now ex-girlfriend) reported she had moved into a new apartment complex to hide from Rodriguez with their children. She reported that Rodriguez broke her apartment window in an attempt to gain entry into her residence. She hid in a bathroom with her children and called 9-1-1. Rodriguez did not make entry into the apartment and fled prior to police arrival.
Later that evening, Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission (GIITEM) officers arrested Rodriguez during a separate incident in the 1900 block of Del Norte Drive.
Rodriguez was arrested for aggravated assault, attempted second degree murder and criminal damage, all per domestic violence. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
