National Night Out is America’s largest crime prevention event that gives people a chance to create neighborhood spirit, heighten crime prevention awareness, and strengthen community and police partnerships.
The National Night Out program is administered by the National Association of Town Watch and is an effective way for the entire community to come together to talk with police and fire department personnel about your concerns.
“Community crime prevention programs, like Neighborhood Watch, have brought safer and more enjoyable communities to millions of Americans. Neighborhood Watch helps to reduce opportunities for crimes, solve problems and builds safer and more stable areas,” said Bullhead City Police Department’s Community Services Officer Lorrie Duggins. “It is a night for us to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity.”
In Bullhead City, National Night Out will be held on Wednesday, October 4th, 5 p.m. at Target (Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center) and 5:30 p.m. at Mohave Electric Cooperative (928 Hancock Road). The event is free and open to the public. There will be games, refreshments, prize drawings, informational booths and lots of fun activities for the kids, including public safety demonstrations, face painting, 9-1-1 simulators, fingerprinting, and a chance for children to dress up in police SWAT & firefighter gear!
