Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kyler Sloane Sessler, 22, and Rafael Alejandro Ortiz-Hernandez, 23, both of Bullhead City, early Saturday (10/14) morning. Sessler was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with driving with a suspended license, misdemeanor. Ortiz-Hernandez was arrested on a failure to pay fines undesignated warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court. Approximately 3:07 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Long Avenue. Deputies contacted Sessler, the driver, and passenger Ortiz-Hernandez. A records check showed Sessler to have a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant for Ortiz-Hernandez. Sessler and Ortiz-Hernandez were taken into custody without incident. A search of Sessler revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance. Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Sessler advised that the marijuana is his and its inside the center console in a container. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with residue, marijuana in a container and a plastic jar containing a white crystal substance located inside the center console. The white crystal substance tested positive for methamphetamine. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
